I am looking for my GGG Grandmother
Abigail C Thayer
Birth 28 Aug 1813 in Hawley, Franklin, Massachusetts
Death 20 Jun 1896 in Manchester, Delaware Co., Iowa

She married Theophilus Crosby from Hawley MA. in 16 Sep 1836 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her obituary states that they went to the common school together and that their families lived a stones throw away from each other. It also said she was the youngest of 5 sisters.

I have been unable to find her family. Any assistance would be great.

Seeking help with THAYER. My grandmother, Caroline E. Hicks married George Clinton THAYER 22 December 1887 in River Falls, Wisconsin. They were divorced in 1903 in Spokane, Washington.

I believe Mr. Thayer's father was Josiah THAYER, born about 1812 in Massachusetts (?)

I have no other information and would appreciate any family stories or connections with this line of THAYER.

There is a Harriet Thayer, B:1834 in S. Carolina D: 1876, in my line. She is my 2G Grandmother. She married Luther Dillon on Nov 2, 1851. I believe that she met Luther in St. Joseph, Missouri, because he also was in that area in 1850. She lived with her mother Emeline Thompson and her step-father Henry Thompson in Buchanan County, Missouri in 1850. She has a sister named Mary Thayer B: 1836 in S. Carolina. There is possibly a brother named Richard Thayer B: 1842 in Georgia. If Richard was indeed Harriet's full brother, then by 1860 Richard was using the last name of Thompson. It is possible with the number of years between the births of Mary and Richard and in a different state, that Richard is a half-brother to Harriet and Mary. I am not sure of my 2G Grandmother's father's name. Looking through the unconnected Thayers' names, I don't find a clue. If anyone knows of any Thayers in South Carolina around 1830, please let me know.

I am descended from Benoni3 Benson (Joseph2, John1) and Sarah4 Thayer (Josiah3, Ferdinando2, Thomas1). John1 Benson first settled at Hingham, Massachusetts in 1638 coming to this country on the Confidence.

I am a descendant of Ferdinando and Huldah Thayer of Mendon/Braintree, Mass. They were my 8th great grandparents. Their daughter, Huldah Thayer Aldrich was my 7th great granddaughter. I would love to find more descendants of Ferdinando and Huldah Thayer.

I have documents proving the connection between Fannie Langley Hallock and her parents, and know that she is the daughter of Charlotte Augusta Thayer who married Asa Langley. Charlotte Augusta was the daughter of Lyman Thayer. I am searching for documentation to show she was the daughter of Lyman Thayer and Fannie Butler. I have read the Thayer Memorial, but would like to find some documentation to prove the connection to her father and mother. Anyone out there like to share? I'm a descendant of Nathan Thayer and Sarah Rebecca Reed through their son James Thayer who married Francis "Fanny" Durbin (some say Dalston). Two of their daughters Sarah and Rowena Thayer married John Baker. Rowena and John are my 3rd Great Grandparents.

My gr gr grandmother was Charlotte Augusta Thayer. I descend from her daughter Fannie, who married Abel Odell Hallock. Just wondering if there were any cousins out there who may have a picture of Fannie Langley Hallock? I have a beautiful pedigree chart of pictures and hers is the only one I am missing. Any size would be great. She was born in 1856, so there must be a picture of her out there somewhere! Also would like to connect with Thayer/Langley/Hallock cousins. Lost touch during the early 1900 with these families. I have pictures of the Hallocks to share if you are interested. These people were educated, intelligent and adventurous! Very fun to research!

Hi I just found out that I am the Great9Granddaughter of Ferdinando Thayer. I had just foudn out that my grandmother was Sarah Thayer daughter of Josiah Thayer....so I was searching the name Sydney Thayer III of Coatsville PA died 7/25/1990..I saw his Obit on this site (he was a landload I had and I really liked him..he helped me buy my first home) so when I saw the name Thayer in my line I thought maybe I was related to him. I havent found a connection to him but I did find my grandmother :)
