2012 Thayer Reunion Scheduled for HOUSTON TEXAS

Plans are very vague, but the location, Houston, TX and the date: May 31 June 3, 2012 are firmed. according to Kate, TFA’s Vice President.

TFA’ers should be aware that Houston has a large genealogical library that many researchers overlook:

The stacks are open, which makes “browsing” a joy, says Kate.

Reunion begins with a “gathering” on Thursday evening, May 31st, location to be determined. A day trip on Friday, June 1st, will be planned, possibly to Washington on the Brazos. See: http://www.birthplaceoftexas.com/

Saturday will include the TFA annual meeting and dinner.

Accommodations are expected to be on the west side of the city, location to be announced.

Early June in Houston is typically pleasant with the high temperatures in the low 80’s, the low temperatures in the 70’s. Expect high humidity.
